The majority of readers are saying $259 is quite high for a dedicated e-ink reader and you are looking at $800 plus for a color one with technology that will drain batteries in hours rather than weeks. The Fujitsu Flepia eReader is in colour and costs more than $1,000 US. http://e-readerfeeder.comJamieZhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13853505268326522883noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2853913721129911681.post-66120527196389377762010-01-04T23:28:45.166-08:002010-01-04T23:28:45.166-08:00fyi, Star Trek has had hand-held digital reader de...fyi, Star Trek has had hand-held digital reader devices in Next Gen, DS-9, and Voyager (called a Personal Access Display Device or PADD). They have aired in episodes since the pilot of Next Gen in 1987 so, sorry guys. The hardest group to survey are the under 35s. They have no time for you. The older they get the more willing to talk they are. For enough of them, the price is highish, but not a major issue. Boomers in aggregate have the largest effective demand in the population.

as said above, the Kindle is a single purpose device optimized to be a readying machine. The only large demo that has time to read are retired people. Based on the stats they are going to be around for another 20 years at least and it naturally replenishes.

The days of building brand loyalty when they're young are disappearing as brand loyalty disappears. The focus on the young is much less attractive when momma takes the credit card away.

as the Kindle DX gets into college the price will be the most the market will bear. I am 32 years old and have been a voracious reader since I first learned to read, I say about the first or second grade. I do not currently own a Kindle, but trust this; it's on my wish list that is in my hubby's wallet at all times ;) Hopefully, very soon, I will be contributing to the 30-39 year old Kindle population.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2853913721129911681.post-26807904194473942672009-06-07T09:25:40.809-07:002009-06-07T09:25:40.809-07:00Hi, thank you for taking the time to review KEPT. ...Hi, thank you for taking the time to review KEPT.
